Embed HTML Code

If you have a policy that needs to be read and signed vs. a form that needs to be filled out, you may want to us the HTML Embed function in the form builder. To do that you will first upload your document as a word doc to your Google Drive. Then follow the below instructions:

Step 1: Open the word doc you want to embed in Google Drive and click "File": 

Step 2: Click "Share" and "Publish to Web"

Step 3: Click "Embed"

Step 4: Click "Publish"

Step 5: Copy the HTML Code

Step 6: Go to ABA Engine's Form Designer and click "design form"

Step 7: Inside the new form, click "add question"

Step 8: Select the question type "HTML"

Step 9: In the right panel under General, click into the box under HTML Markup and paste the HTML code you copied from the Google Doc

Step 10: Click back on the box around your question and you'll see the document embed in a window. This window will be small. We'll widen it to make it more readable in the next step.

Step 11: Make sure you have selected the question. You'll see the orange box around the question. Then go back to the HTML Markup box under General and add the following highlighted info between =true"width="100%" height="800px"></iframe>

This will allow the embedded document to take up the entire frame and will be easier for your families or employees to read.

Step 12: If you would like to add a signature line and/or date line, you can do that as well. Click "Add Question"

Step 13: Choose "Signature" for question type

Step 14: If you'd like to make the signature area larger, select the signature area

Step 15: In the right hand column, under Signature Area Width, change it from 300 to 500 to widen the space available to sign.

Step 16: Click add question again to add a date field

Step 17: Choose "Text" and then select "Date"

Step 18: Change the Survey Title to match the title of your document. In this example it's a Financial Policy

Step 19: Make sure to click "Save Form" in the top right hand corner
